Minneapolis Indoors

This last week has been pretty rainy, so my Minneapolis exploration was taken indoors. I was almost glad it rained this week though because it made me do "indoor" things which actually turned out to be super fun.

My roommate Bri and our friends Jake and Brandon and I went to "The Nook" for some delicious burgers. In the basement of the burger joint was this retro bowling alley, which I thought was super cool! It was built in 1927 and it really hasn't changed much. You have to keep score by hand and the lights in the blue triangle above your lane tells you which pins are still standing. Bri and I are going to go back soon.

This is just a picture of my bed haha. For some reason I absolutely love this bed and this bedspread dad and I got at the super trendy store Walmart. It's just so comfy and I think it's pretty cute for a Walmart bed.

Okay this museum was seriously so neat. I could write like a whole page about it, I thought it was so interesting. Minneapolis was civilized in the 1800's because people built flour mills along the Mississippi river because they got power from the river to run the mills. General Mills and Pillsbury started off as flour mills here, who would've thought. The museum was in one of the old General Mills flour mills and talked about the history of it all. It might sound lame, but trust me it was very interesting, I'm definitely going back.

Cerissa, Kevin, and I at the Mill.

There was a huge fire in part of the Mill and some of the remains still stand.

This is the view from the top of the museum. It's so pretty!

Cerissa and I visited the Mall of America. What's better than going on a log ride in the middle of a mall?

We also stopped by the Midtown Global Market. Think of any type of food and this place has it.

We decided to be adventurous and try Moroccan food. It definitely tasted different but was really good. The workers there were also really nice.

My Moroccan dish. I honestly don't really know what it is.
